Sweet Ride

For the last month or so I’ve been thinking about getting a motorcycle.  My car’s been broke for a while and I think it’s time to put it out to pasture anyway.  It’s interresting how things line up.  I asked a friend to teach me to ride on Friday, learned to ride on Saturday, asked another friend to help me go shopping on Sunday, went shopping today, and now I own the sweetest ride of anyone I know.  It also cost almost all of my liquid assets, but not quite.  It was one of those things where the perfect opportunity came for a day and I took it.  That particular bike would probably not be there tomorrow.

So what is this sweet ride, you ask?  It’s an ’05 Honda Shadow 750 with 150 miles on it.  I got it for about $700 less than a new same model ’07 would cost.  In new bike terms, that’s a deal.  It has some really nice accesories that came with it for free too.  I even like the color.  Dark blue with silver flames.  Oh yeah, baby.
